Xbox Series X|S owners may have some cause to be happy this week, because publisher Forever Entertainment has finally confirmed that The House of the Dead Remake is getting a boost on Microsofts newest console, Microsofts newest system, after being stuck with the rather lackluster release from the start of the year. Publisher Forever Entertainment and developer MegaPixel Studio announced the game is coming to the Xbox Series X/S this Friday, September 23rd. A remake of the game was developed by MegaPixel Studio and published by Forever Entertainment on the Nintendo Switch, Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, Stadia, and Xbox One in April 2022. The House of the Dead: Remake Trailer & Release Date
In April 2021, it was announced that the game would receive a remake for Nintendo Switch. Forever Entertainment made the remake a Nintendo Switch timed exclusive; Forever Entertainment is a major Nintendo Switch publisher. If you are looking to play this on another console, keep in mind the title initially launched on the Nintendo Switch on April 7, followed by the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC through Steam, GOG, and Stadia on April 28. In the meantime, you can now pre-order the Xbox Series X/S version of the game ahead of its launch Friday, or, if you are currently an owner of the game on the Xbox One, hold off until your version gets its free, current-gen update.

The House of the Dead: Remake Review & Gameplay Leaks

The game, which is a remake of the famous 1997 arcade classic rail shooter The House of the Dead, has been available since early in the year on other platforms. Left 4 Dead fans will want to take a look at Turtle Rock Studios Back 4 Blood, which is coming to Xbox Game Pass. The open-world Sable looks gorgeous, and the Ghostrunners PC release was an absolute blast, so the hope is that will hold true for True Colors Ultimate Edition. This Xbox Series X|S release will also get better graphics and performance, though the studio has not detailed those. In the remaster, developer MegaPixel Studio stuck with the original gameplay, but updated graphics and controls to fit the game’s modern standards.
